The City of Johnson City, Tennessee's Parks and Recreation department is dedicated to providing high-quality recreational programs and services to our community. We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Program Coordinator I to join our team
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists in developing and implementing recreation and athletic programs, activities, and events for diverse age groups.
- Coordinates and assists with various programs, including after-school activities, summer camps, sports leagues, and special events.
- Provides exceptional customer service by responding to user inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborates with team members to ensure successful event execution and participant satisfaction.
- Supervises play areas to ensure safety and maintain order.
- Participates in ongoing training and professional development to enhance job performance.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; college degree in Recreation Administration or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of similar experience in recreation programming.
- CPR and First Aid certification required upon hiring.
