We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Veterinarian to join our team at Petco, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and leading our veterinary team. As a senior veterinarian, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical services, mentoring junior veterinarians, and contributing to the growth of our practice while maintaining a high standard of care.

Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care by performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating diseases, and providing preventive care according to patient signalment, lifestyle, and environment.
- Mentor and coach junior veterinarians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to the growth of our practice by developing and implementing effective treatment plans, collaborating with colleagues, and staying up-to-date with the latest medical research and techniques.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
- Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state in which the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date.
- Current DEA license.
- USDA Category I (minimum) Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date.
- Strong skills performing anesthesia and routine surgeries, including spays, neuters, mass removals, and dental cleanings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Compassionate and sympathetic, with the ability to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor during emotional and stressful situations.
$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
