**Job Summary:** We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at Parkhurst Dining. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure prompt and courteous service to all guests, from the time they enter our dining rooms and facilities to the time they leave.
  • Process cash, meal plan, and swipe transactions efficiently and accurately, maintaining proper counts and balances throughout each shift.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including restocking areas surrounding the checkout counters and busing tables as needed.
  • Follow company safety and sanitation policies and procedures, adhering to strict guidelines to ensure a healthy and safe environment for our guests and staff.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Accurately process transactions, maintain accurate counts and balances, and reconcile cash drawers after every meal.
  • Familiarity with basic math concepts and ability to make change accurately.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
