CDL Class A Driver Home Every Week

At American Driver, we are seeking a skilled CDL Class A driver to join our team for regional dry van runs. This is a great opportunity for drivers who value home time and a stable income.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive regional dry van routes within a 400-mile radius from home
  • Operate a preloaded trailer and drop and hook loads to minimize wait times
  • Run approximately 2200 miles per week
  • Enjoy flexible home time with a 34-hour reset at home (usually on weekends)

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive pay rate of $0.56-$0.64 per mile, depending on experience
  • Company-paid detentions, layovers, and breakdown pay
  • Extra pay for short hauls and extra stops
  • Special compensation for good performance
  • Benefits package includes medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans
  • Employee assistance program and employee stock purchase program
  • Supplemental benefits for disability, life, group accident, and critical illness

Requirements:

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years
  • No preventable accidents in the last 5 years
  • No more than 1 year of unemployment in the last 5 years
  • No more than 4 jobs in the last year
  • No safety terminations from previous employers in the last 5 years
  • No DUI, DWI, or SAP drivers
  • No felonies or misdemeanors in the last 10 years

Equipment and Training:

  • Drive a Freightliner Cascadia or Kenworth T680, both automatic and manual trucks not older than 2 years
  • Trucks are equipped with fridges, power inverters, and APU units
  • Recent graduates are welcome, and drivers with less than 3 months of experience will go through a 46-week training program
  • Drivers with 36 months of experience will go through a 12-week mentor program
