Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical ICU team at Yale New Haven Health. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their health needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Implementation and Coordination: Implement care plans and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Health Teaching and Promotion: Educate patients and their families on healthy habits and disease prevention.
- Evaluation and Quality Improvement: Continuously evaluate patient care and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: Previous experience in a critical care setting is preferred.
- Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- Certification: Clinical specialty certification is highly encouraged.
This role requires prolonged standing, walking, and use of sight, hearing, and touch. You may be exposed to infectious diseases and will be working in a fast-paced environment with moderate stress and risk of injury from patient care.
