The Department of Psychiatry is committed to delivering top-tier psychiatric care through a blend of clinical practice, education, and research. Our objective is to cultivate future leaders in psychiatry, advance neuroscience research, and innovate treatment methodologies for neurobehavioral conditions. This is a pivotal moment for our department, with numerous new and expanded avenues for educational, research, and clinical endeavors.
Key Responsibilities- Engage in a comprehensive research, clinical, and educational mission within the Department of Psychiatry.
- Participate in an academic environment.
- Provide clinical care for complex cases in a tertiary referral center while mentoring a diverse group of learners, including medical students and residents, and contributing to clinical research initiatives.
- Work in a hospital setting focused on pediatric care, covering emergency departments, psychiatric consultations on pediatric wards, and inpatient units, while practicing evidence-based medicine through a multidisciplinary approach.
- Schedule: 7 nights on duty followed by 14 nights off (6 PM - 6 AM).
- Exclusively inpatient responsibilities.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
- Possession of a valid medical license in the state of Maryland or eligibility for licensure.
