Mercy is seeking a skilled LPN to join our team in a Cardiac Surgical Intermediate care setting. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill post-operative cardiothoracic, vascular patients, and medical overflow in a 28-bed fully monitored unit.
- Manage chest tubes, lytic therapy, antidysrhythmic, low dose vasopressors, Bipap and high flow oxygen systems, insulin drips, and precedex.
- Collaborate with Neuro Trauma PCU and ICUs for opportunities to cross train between departments.
- Participate in the Critical Care Cluster, which includes all ICUs and PCUs.
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Current LPN license within the hiring state.
- LPN-IV Certification or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- Prolonged standing and walking each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
