Position Overview: Become an integral part of a distinguished Cardiovascular practice in central Michigan.
Role Summary: We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for our inpatient post-operative surgical clinic. Our esteemed Vascular clinics cater to multiple counties within the central Michigan region. The selected provider will conduct morning rounds, typically concluding by 1 PM. Additional clinic responsibilities will be required for 3-4 days a week following the completion of rounds. In the event of incoming consultations, the NP/PA will be responsible for managing those cases as well. The role involves direct collaboration with physicians, primarily focusing on post-operative patients in cardiac, cardiology, and vascular care.
Team Environment: Our multidisciplinary team comprises surgeons, internists, podiatrists, interventional radiologists, nurses, and coordinators, delivering 24/7 care for patients requiring emergent, short-term, and long-term treatment.
Training Opportunities: - Training is available for candidates lacking direct cardiac ICU experience.
- ICU experience is preferred; however, candidates with Emergency Medicine experience will also be considered.
- Procedural skills are advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
Call Schedule: The role includes call responsibilities for two weekends each month, with rounding duties on those days.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with weekend call duties on a rotational basis.
Required Qualifications:
- Certified BLS/ACLS Provider, to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan OR Licensed Physician Assistant through the State of Michigan.
Compensation and Benefits: We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience, ranging from $115,000 to $130,000, along with excellent benefits including health, dental, matching 403B, life insurance, vacation, relocation assistance, and much more.
