Maintenance Operations Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Manager to oversee the safe and economical daily and long-term maintenance of equipment at our power plant. As a key member of our team, you will ensure the safety of employees, contractors, and the public during all maintenance activities.
The successful candidate will coordinate schedules, conduct mechanical, electrical, and I&C maintenance repair and preventative maintenance, and develop and maintain computerized maintenance management programs. Additionally, they will ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, schedule materials, equipment, and personnel for plant outages and overhauls, and participate in the planning and scheduling of plant activities.
Responsibilities
- Accomplish work through others, managing overall equipment maintenance function at assigned power plant.
- Manage employees performing related duties, including full human resources, cost, and budgetary accountabilities.
- Makes decisions related to resources, project approach, and tactical operations, resulting in significant impact on costs and achievement of function objectives or project-based goals.
- Assist in the development and administration of plant operating budgets.
- Makes decisions for large-scale projects, involving own and possibly related functional areas.
- Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines tactical approach, resources, schedules, and goals.
- Prepares and communicates work schedules for staff, balances workload, and monitors quality of results.
- Works within general guidelines, applying advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems.
- Manages multiple functions within operations, managing large-scale projects/activities or closely related sets of projects/activities.
- Responsible for performance reviews, promotional decisions, and pay actions for support and professional levels.
- Oversees training and development of staff, including contractors.
- Serves as one of the primary decision makers in recruiting and selection process.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, degree from technical/vocational school, or equivalent; prefer Associates or Bachelors Degree.
- Previous work leadership or senior level contributor experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of power generation experience in gas turbine power plant maintenance, and 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- Intimate knowledge and experience with repair and maintenance practices of heavy frame combustion turbine.
- Valid state drivers license.
Salary Information
Estimated annual salary: $125,000 - $155,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
