Company Overview:
Rust Belt Recruiting is partnering with a client that specializes in the production of custom magnetics, including transformers, reactors, chokes, inductors, and tailored enclosures. They are seeking to expand their workforce at their facility.

Key Responsibilities:
The primary duty of this role is to assemble and disassemble substantial steel machinery to facilitate the manufacturing process.

Additional Responsibilities Include:
1. Ensure parts conform to specifications and blueprints using measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
2. Align components for assembly, either manually or with a hoist, and secure them using hand tools and welding equipment.
3. Smooth surfaces and remove excess material using chisels, scrapers, files, and powered grinders.
4. Assemble, set up, and operate machinery to confirm functionality and compliance with customer specifications.
5. Form, bend, and attach piping and fixtures necessary for machine servicing, including hydraulic systems.
6. Collaborate with team members throughout the fabrication process.
7. Verify alignment and tolerances of moving parts using measuring instruments.
8. Install moving components and test their operation by hand.
9. Align and mesh gears within gearboxes to create a functional gear system.
10. Mount and connect auxiliary mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment; cut and fit pipes and tubing.
11. Conduct tests or assist in testing the operation of the finished product.
12. Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
13. Utilize various inspection tools and assembly equipment.
14. Handle solvents and paints safely.
15. Operate a drill press for tapping and drilling holes.
16. Work with piping and tubing for lubrication and hydraulic processes.
17. Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as needed.

Candidate Profile:
3-5 years of experience in mechanical assembly.

Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to proficiently operate cranes and other heavy machinery essential for assembly and disassembly tasks.

Possession of personal tools and the capability to use them effectively.
Ability to apply judgment in planning and executing operations within established methods and procedures.
Proficient in interpreting customer blueprints to determine appropriate disassembly sequences for various heavy equipment.
Ability to read and understand diverse assembly blueprints and follow verbal and written instructions.
Competent in using a drill press for tapping and drilling tasks.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in shop mathematics.
Effective verbal communication skills with team members, supervisors, and engineers.
Physical strength and capability to safely manage heavy equipment and tools.
