About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pathologist Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our pathology department, you will play a critical role in supporting our pathologists in the examination and preparation of anatomical specimens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pathologists in the accessioning, dissection, and evisceration of anatomical specimens
  • Prepare tissues for microscopic examination, including frozen and permanent sections
  • Perform postmortem examinations, including external examination and in-situ organ inspection
  • Dictate organ weights and gross anatomic findings to determine cause of death
  • Maintain gross room and morgue equipment, pathology archives, and archived specimens
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related biological sciences field
  • 1-3 years of related grossing experience
  • PA Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology
