Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Millwright to join our team at West Fraser. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining industrial equipment, including conveying systems, machine centers, and other machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain industrial equipment, including conveying systems, machine centers, and other machinery
  • Read and understand drawings and printed instructions
  • Work safely under high-pressure situations
  • Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs
  • Assemble and install equipment using hand tools and power tools
  • Lay out mounting holes using measuring instruments and drill holes with a power drill
  • Replace defective parts of machines or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts
  • Level bedplate and establish centerline using a straightedge, levels, and transit
  • Dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum two years verifiable work experience as a Millwright
  • Welding experience (GMAW and/or SMAW)
  • Cutting Torch experience (Oxygen/Acetylene)
  • Ability to work night/day shift
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, physical, reference check, and background check
