About the Role

Eliot's Early Intervention Program is seeking a highly skilled Developmental Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing home and community-based services to children from birth to three years of age who may have or are at risk of having a delay in development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Identify, screen, and evaluate the performance of infants and children using standard measures to determine their developmental needs.
  • Individualized Planning: Develop and ensure follow-up of treatment goals from the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) in the home, in accordance with funding source requirements, sound clinical practice, and in collaboration with the family.
  • Intervention and Support: Provide intervention in the areas of cognition, social behaviors, perceptual motor skills, and learning style to support the child's optimal growth and development.
  • Team Collaboration: Utilize a team approach to planning and treatment with families, physicians, and agencies to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Provide assessment/reports, IFSP's, progress notes, and insurance verification reports within established timelines.
  • Professional Development: Provide in-service training to other team members within areas of expertise and maintain client records in accordance with Department of Public Health and Eliot protocols.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Bilingual preferred - Portuguese
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Benefits
  • Competitive salary: $48,000
  • Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm schedule
