Job Summary

Memorial Satilla Health is seeking a dedicated Critical Care Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse in our Progressive Care Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes.

We are a 230+ bed acute-care hospital serving the Middle-Georgia community for over 60 years. Our hospital offers a range of services, including an ER, Heart, Orthopedic, Surgery, Rehabilitation, Sleep and Birthing Centers, and an extensive Mental Health program.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor vital signs and detect changes that may indicate life-threatening or emergency situations.
  • Respond to Code Blue within the facility and initiate protocol, special procedures, and cardiac monitoring.
  • Manage efficient patient flow, including screening, preparation for exams, providing general nursing care, and arranging testing and admissions.
  • Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
  • Maintain and review patient records, posting tests and examination results.
  • Administer medications according to physician orders.
  • Check rooms daily for necessary supplies.
  • Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed.

Requirements

  • A graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher required.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification required.
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider certification preferred and required to be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer date.
  • Prior acute care Registered Nurse experience preferred.

Salary Estimate

$80,000-$120,000 per year, depending on experience.
