About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team at Emerson. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, and testing of new products.
• Build prototype assemblies for engineering teams.
• Design tests and test fixtures in collaboration with engineers.
• Conduct engineering tests and collect data on flow meters and related subassemblies and parts.
• Work safely and actively remedy identified potential safety hazards from the work environment.

About You

We are looking for a hands-on, technically focused, self-motivated individual who is excited to learn new skills. You should be a problem solver who seeks innovative approaches and is able to partner with others to drive work to completion while providing timely, relevant information to individuals across the organization.

Requirements

• 2-year technical degree OR 1800 hours of technical education or equivalent.
• Three or more years of applicable experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Basic electrical circuit knowledge.
• Experience with machining, such as lathe and mill operation.
• Experience with CAD.
• Ability to implement written test plans with minimal supervision.
