Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the PACU and Surgery departments
- Plan, direct, and control staffing assignments to ensure effective coverage and productivity targets
- Prepare and complete work schedules for the appropriate areas
- Review daily performance and maintain departmental productivity targets and performance benchmarks
- Recommend staffing changes and interview and make recommendations for personnel
- Provide counseling and progressive discipline for employees as needed
- Review and approve personnel performance appraisals and establish goals for each employee
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse in Texas or Compact
- Minimum of 2 years of Charge Nurse or Management experience in surgical services within an acute care setting
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and best practices
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
