Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Production Packaging Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will undergo comprehensive training across all facets of the Packaging Department, gaining proficiency in the operation of all relevant machinery within your assigned area.

Shift Details:
Night Shift - Options available for various schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality assessments, perform testing, and complete necessary documentation.
  • Execute sanitation tasks, ensuring thorough cleaning of all equipment within the facility.
  • Utilize cleaning tools and chemicals effectively to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of computer systems and automated machinery for data entry and monitoring.
  • Engage in effective communication with team members through various channels.
  • Independently carry out operational, cleaning, inspection, and minor maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Adhere to established manufacturing best practices, including process improvement recommendations.
  • Operate forklifts and other machinery as required.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance safety, quality, and overall efficiency.
  • Assist in training and supporting colleagues in equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Adapt to varying temperature conditions and work in confined spaces as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking on various surfaces.
  • Engage in physical activities such as bending, twisting, and climbing as required.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as mandated.
  • Possess the dexterity to handle materials and operate equipment with precision.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in computer systems and automated machinery.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs consistently throughout the shift.
