We are seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist to join our Behavioral Health team at ChristianaCare. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our mental health services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to individuals with mental health conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address these needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to these interventions.
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
- Current Delaware RN license or eligibility for Delaware RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience working in mental health or behavioral health settings preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
