As a Research Scientist, you will establish large-scale experiments and rapidly deploy promising concepts, managing timelines and deliverables while leveraging the latest theories to create new and enhanced products, processes, or technologies.
Your responsibilities will include designing experiments and prototyping implementations, as well as architecting new solutions. Our research scientists tackle real-world challenges across the spectrum of computer science, including machine learning, data mining, natural language processing, and performance analysis of hardware and software.
In this role, you will also actively engage with the broader research community by disseminating and publishing your findings, drawing inspiration from both internal projects and collaborations with academic institutions and technical organizations globally.
Our team's research is centered on developing applications for current and near-term quantum computers in the fields of physics, chemistry, and materials science. This involves a blend of theoretical and numerical analysis alongside experimental work.
Recent achievements include experimental investigations of information scrambling in quantum circuits, demonstrations of non-Abelian braiding, many-body spectroscopy, and explorations of topological phases of matter.
In this position, you will utilize theoretical many-body physics techniques to design and optimize protocols for various applications.Your work will involve modeling noise and other error sources in devices, as well as crafting optimal error mitigation and correction strategies.
The full potential of quantum computing will be realized with a large-scale computer capable of complex, error-corrected computations.
