This position encompasses the design and load assessment of prestressed and steel bridges, along with the creation of retaining wall and sign support frameworks. You will also engage in the design and inspection of bridge repair and rehabilitation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and load assessment of both simple and continuous span prestressed bridges
  • Design and load assessment of both simple and continuous span steel bridges

  • Design for bridge repair and rehabilitation
  • Conducting bridge inspections

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited program
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Experience in design and detailing of prestressed concrete, reinforced concrete, and structural steel
  • Familiarity with MicroStation and structural analysis/design software
Desirable Skills:
  • Master's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural design
  • Knowledge of AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications
  • Experience in bridge planning and design
  • Familiarity with MoDOT EPG regarding design and planning preferences
