Key Responsibilities

  • Review work permits, correct deficiencies, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide safety-related input in the development and review of operating procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required with 4 years of operations/maintenance chemical or refining experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related Occupational Safety, Safety Management- or Industrial Hygiene-related degree with 2 years of professional Safety experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to wear appropriate PPE in the refinery and physically perform all tasks in the field.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a TWIC Card.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without the need for future VISA sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PowerBI or similar reporting/analytics system.
  • Experience in a Safety-related position in the refining or petrochemical industry.
  • Experience with implementing CAL OSHA standards.
  • ASP or GSP and/or on track for CSP certification.
