Surgical Technician Full Time Days

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. As a Surgical Technologist II, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the functionality, availability, and sterility of OR supplies and equipment prior to the start of the daily caseload.
- Scrub and handle instruments during surgical procedures, adhering to standards of aseptic technique in all phases of surgical intervention.
- Assist service-line coordinators in receiving and stocking supplies/equipment for a cluster of specialties.
- Report variations in stock inventory levels to the service-line coordinators and materials management.
- Communicate opportunities for systems improvement to the service-line coordinators and surgery manager.
- Participate in selected patient care activities, such as room turnover and transporting as needed.
- Support the philosophy, objectives, and goals of hospital administration and its representatives.
- Completion of an accredited surgical technologist course (not required if more than 10 years of experience).
- H.S. Diploma or GED.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist with the ability to competently scrub all regularly performed procedures in five of the eight core service-line clusters.
- Associate's Degree.
- Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
