Job Overview

Fuze HR Solutions Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team in Metro Atlanta. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, utilizing ConX estimating software and your expertise in telecom, electrical, and general contracting work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Estimation: Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for telecom, electrical, and general contracting projects in retail, light industrial, and commercial sectors.
  • Software Utilization: Utilize ConX estimating software to generate and manage estimates, ensuring all project specifications and requirements are met.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, including material, labor, and overhead costs. Analyze and compare subcontractor and supplier quotes.
  • Cost Analysis: Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to identify project scope and cost factors. Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and value engineering options.
  • Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and project managers to gather project details and address any issues or changes that may impact cost estimates.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of estimates, revisions, and related documents. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible for future reference.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and construction methods to provide competitive and accurate estimates.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the project management team to ensure estimates align with project budgets and timelines.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating with a focus on telecom, electrical, and general contracting projects.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in ConX estimating software is required. Familiarity with other estimating tools is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing estimates and analyzing project documents.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator) are a plus.
Working Conditions
  • Location: This position is based in our Metro Atlanta office, with site visits as needed.
  • Schedule: Full-time position with standard office hours. Flexibility for additional hours may be required based on project deadlines.
