Job Title: AWS API Developer

ITTConnect is seeking an experienced AWS API Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs for mobile applications using AWS AppSync, TypeScript, and Node.js.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop APIs for mobile applications using AWS AppSync and TypeScript.
  • Utilize AWS services such as Lambda, AppSync, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Kibana, API Gateway, and WAF to build robust and reliable APIs.
  • Collaborate closely with front-end teams to understand requirements and ensure seamless integration of APIs.
  • Participate in Agile Kanban and Scrum methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and best practices.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot API performance using CloudWatch, Kibana, Postman, Charles Proxy, and other relevant monitoring and analysis tools.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to deploy APIs and manage infrastructure using AWS services like CloudFormation.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in AWS technologies and best practices, sharing knowledge with the team.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in API design and development using AWS AppSync and TypeScript.
  • Experience with general API design, regardless of experience with GraphQL or not.
  • Extensive TypeScript and Node.js expertise is more important.
  • Strong coding skills in AppScript, TypeScript, and other relevant languages and frameworks.
  • Solid experience developing mobile apps APIs using AWS technologies, including Lambda, AppSync, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, API Gateway, and WAF.
  • Familiarity with Agile Kanban and Scrum methodologies, and experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and work with front-end teams.
  • Proactive and self-driven, with a passion for learning and staying updated with the latest technologies and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.
  • Good understanding of API security practices and implementation, including authentication, authorization, and WAF rules.
  • Strong documentation skills to maintain clear and concise technical documentation.
