Vascular Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at The Vascular Care Group. As a Vascular Imaging Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients with vascular-related conditions.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 1-4 years of experience in general radiologic technology. The ideal candidate will be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and possess excellent communication skills.
The successful candidate will report to the Lead Radiologic Technician for clinical matters and to the Office Manager for operational matters. This role is non-exempt.
Responsibilities- Prepare Exams: Prepare exam rooms and equipment to conduct radiologic examinations in accordance with infectious disease, sterilization, and patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct Assessments: Conduct patient clinical assessments and perform diagnostic medical examinations ordered by supervising physicians in accordance with professional and facility protocols.
- Utilize Equipment: Utilize all radiographic equipment to perform x-rays, including surgical and portable equipment.
- Identify Anatomical Orientation: Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and assure proper file identification on all images.
- Apply Judgment: Apply independent judgment during examinations to ensure that the appropriate anatomical, pathological, and clinical conditions are accurately captured in examination images.
- Document Limitations: Identify and document any limitations to examinations.
- Review Images: Review examination images, synthesize examination results, and prepare preliminary findings.
- Assist as Surgical Technician: Assist as surgical technician (scrub technician) in procedures as needed.
- Perform Quality Control: Perform quality control procedures to ensure that equipment operates at optimal levels and manage a preventive maintenance program for equipment.
- Prioritize Work: Assist in prioritizing assigned work based on workflow fluctuations.
- Provide Procedure Information: Provide detailed and accurate procedure information for collection in databases, such as OEIS, maintain an understanding of purpose of data collection, and provide support for data entry as needed.
- Comply with Standards: Perform procedures in compliance with Standards of Care, facility, and regulatory requirements, and ARRT Standards of Ethics.
- Maintain HIPAA Regulations: Maintain quality standards as it relates to HIPAA regulations.
- A minimum of High School diploma or equivalent required.
- An Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine preferred.
- ARRT certification required.
- 1-4 years of experience in general radiologic technologist preferred.
- Ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization.
- Willingness to be available for local and/or regional assignments as needed.
- Ability to adequately use the department's computerized system and its associated devices.
