We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Southern New Mexico. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images and operating CT scanners, power injectors, and post-processing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce high-quality radiographic images through proper positioning and technical factors.
- Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and post-processing equipment.
- Adjust protocols to meet patient needs when necessary.
- Critique completed procedures for high diagnostic quality.
- Maintain a repeat rate at or below the national standard.
- Familiarity with terminology and procedures performed in Diagnostic Imaging.
- Communicate delays to patients and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort.
- Obtain thorough and pertinent patient history and prepare patients for examination.
- Encourage and assist in research at the technologist level.
- Select the appropriate equipment and set up based on procedure protocol, specifications, and standards.
- Evaluate the technical quality of images and record, archive, retrieve, compile, and calculate data.
- Assist the radiologist during invasive procedures such as biopsies and abscess drainages.
- Position patients based on anatomy in question and provide accurate measurements.
- Practice positive patient identification.
- Acquire complete and appropriate patient history and convey pertinent information to the radiologist.
Requirements:
- ARRT certification in CT
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience
