Substation Foreman Job Description

PacifiCorp is seeking a skilled Substation Foreman to join our team. As a key member of our electrical distribution team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our substation equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, test, and repair substation equipment, including transformers, regulators, and circuit breakers.
  • Operate substation equipment, including switching and grounding.
  • Perform testing on substation apparatus, such as power factor and transformer turns ratio.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by following safety rules and practices.
  • Work independently or with others, occasionally working long hours during emergency conditions.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Class A CDL
  • Substation Journeyman certification
  • Foreman pool qualification
