Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and developing therapy plans for patients with a broad range of diagnoses and acuities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to identify their level of function and develop a treatment plan to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Implement and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure patient progress and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to ensure seamless patient care and achieve identified patient-specific goals.
  • Provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers on proper techniques and strategies for optimal recovery.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
  • Two years of experience as a Physical Therapist or completion of a HM or comparable Physical Therapy Residency program.
  • State licensure as a Physical Therapist with the Texas Board of Examiners or compact license acceptable according to current ECPTOTE requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a hospital setting or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Strong assessment, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
