At Actalent, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team in West Chester, OH. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing electrical systems, working closely with stakeholders, vendors, and customers to develop and implement electrical solutions for various projects.

Responsibilities
  • Create detailed electrical system designs, including switchgear, power distribution panels, control panels, conduit, and wire routing drawings.

  • Conduct arc flash and safety studies as required to ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

  • Develop CAD drawings and specifications for customer projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Collaborate with sales teams to obtain quotations for new equipment and review customer electrical requirements.

  • Verify the accuracy of vendor designs and ensure they meet project requirements.

  • Properly size transformers and switchgear equipment, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Review and verify the accuracy of utility drawings provided to customers.

  • Work with manufacturing and installation teams to address any electrical questions or concerns.

  • Ensure electrical standardized procedural documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and utilized throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience working with high and medium voltage electrical equipment.

  • Experience with root cause and risk analysis.

  • Knowledge of NEC, CSA, and other relevant codes and regulations.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

  • Experience with electrical layout, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematic drawings.
