Position Overview
As a Sales Associate, also referred to as a Generalist colleague, you play a crucial role in delivering the Macy's experience, with the customer being your top priority. - Communication: Comfortable interacting with customers through various channels, including in-person, phone, and online.
- Sales Acumen: Ability to build rapport with customers, meet sales objectives, and engage in pre-selling and promotional events.
- Technical Proficiency: Utilize point-of-sale technology and applications to assist in sales and fulfill customer orders.

- Prolonged periods (at least two consecutive hours) of standing or walking throughout the store or department.
- Frequent use of computers and handheld electronic devices.
- Ability to reach, including above eye level, crouch, kneel, stoop, and distinguish colors.
- This role involves lifting, constant movement, standing, reaching with arms and hands, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 30 lbs.
