Job Summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Specialist Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading clinical activities in our specialty clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient and associated needs, develop and implement intervention plans, and evaluate response on a selected patient population.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers and/or community services as appropriate.
  • Improve nurse satisfaction by serving as a role model and mentor, facilitating teamwork with RNs, non-licensed and interprofessional staff.
  • Drive improvement of department scores for employee engagement, i.e., peer-to-peer accountability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Five years of nursing experience with two years in specialty.
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure within 60 days.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through on-going skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.
  • Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job.
