Recreational Therapist

In this role as a Recreational Therapist, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting clinical adjunctive therapy programs for inmates assigned to residential treatment units. This position requires a strong background in therapeutic recreation or a related field, with at least 24 months of experience in activity therapy.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with inmates, staff members, and other stakeholders. A bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation or a related field is preferred, along with certification from a national council on therapeutic recreation certification.

You will lead and participate in activities, both on and off the unit, and conduct one-on-one communication with inmates to address patient concerns and resolve problems. This role also involves facilitating treatment with appropriate interventions, as decided by the treatment team.

We offer a competitive salary range of $43,000 - $63,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
