Registered Nurse CVOR System-Wide Full-Time Float Pool Top Pay

Sentara Health is seeking a skilled CVOR Nurse to join our System-Wide Float Pool team. As a CVOR Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in various hospitals across the system, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Job SummaryThe Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care-teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
Responsibilities- Prepares OR Room, ensures equipment and medications are available for the operating room team.
- Reviews patient's chart.
- Assesses patient upon admission and through procedure.
- Prepares and positions patient in OR.
- Administers medication, monitors vital signs during procedure.
- Documents information.
- Provides a call report to the ICU floor nurse after the surgical procedure.
- Prepares OR for the next case.
- Valid RN license.
- BLS.
- 2 years of inpatient Cardiovascular Operating Room experience.
