Key Responsibilities:

  • Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms, providing comprehensive care and support.
  • Conduct thorough health care screenings and check vital signs to ensure accurate assessments and effective treatment plans.
  • Administer medications and monitor their effects, ensuring the highest level of care and safety for our clients.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions and counseling to residents, promoting emotional well-being and mental health.
  • Collaborate with the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and effective treatment outcomes.
  • Educate residents, families, and staff about mental health conditions and treatments, promoting awareness and understanding.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Ohio.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing, with a strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a patient-centered approach to care.
