The Admission and Testing department is dedicated to overseeing SMH's cardiac pre-procedural processes and phase II recovery care.
The Registered Nurse (RN) will be tasked with the delegation, oversight, and delivery of nursing care for a specific group of patients, utilizing the nursing process effectively.
The RN will provide care that is appropriate for various age groups and will engage in research initiatives when applicable, integrating research outcomes into evidence-based clinical practices.
Moreover, the RN will actively participate in quality improvement efforts and adhere to the mission, vision, and values of SMH, as well as the Nursing Division's mission, vision, and philosophy, the ANA Code of Ethics, and the Illinois Nursing Act.

Qualifications:
Licensure/Certification/Registry:
Must hold a valid RN license in the State of Illinois.
Current BLS/CPR certification in accordance with policy.
ACLS certification required within 3-6 months.
Additional Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must possess the ability to position and/or transfer an average adult patient and have sufficient gross coordination to perform various patient care tasks as needed.
Environmental working conditions may involve exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissues, as well as contagious diseases and/or potentially hazardous materials.
