Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a travel nurse. This is a 13-week contract with a guaranteed salary of $145,000 per year, based on 36 hours per week and 12 hour shifts.

About the Job

This ICU RN position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospital setting, evaluating and monitoring patients in critical condition. As an ICU travel nurse, you will provide direct care to patients, document patient progress, and implement care plans in collaboration with physicians.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and monitor patients in the ICU setting
  • Provide basic bedside care, administer medications, and record patient data
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, take samples for lab work, and adjust specialized equipment
  • Communicate patient conditions to family members and ensure proper placement and functioning of medical devices
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of recent acute care experience
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • The ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and tolerate hazardous environments
