Equine Barn Assistant

Kalmbach Feeds is seeking a dedicated and passionate Equine Barn Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our animal care team, you will play a vital role in the daily care of our equine research herd.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with feeding, watering, and general horse handling
• Support research trials related to nutrition and production techniques
• Conduct accurate record keeping for weight, feed intake, and health of animals
• Perform other job duties assigned as necessary

Requirements:

• Passion for horses and commitment to supporting the health and happiness of our equine research herd
• Past leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 pounds consecutively
• Previous equine or farm experience preferred but not required
