About the Role

Banner Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona.

This is a full-time position with a varied schedule, including days, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing exceptional patient care and supporting our surgical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare for surgical procedures by pulling and organizing instruments and supplies.
  • Anticipate the surgeon's needs and pass instruments and retract tissue as needed.
  • Ensure aseptic technique and universal precautions are maintained throughout the procedure.
  • Participate in OR turnover between cases, including stocking, replenishing supplies, and cleaning operating rooms.
  • May provide business support to the department, including administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current basic life support certification required.
  • Registration with the State Regulatory Agency, where applicable.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to maintain professional decorum in high-stress situations.
