We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Representative to join our team at Richmond University Medical Center. As a Patient Representative, you will play a vital role in enhancing the patient experience by facilitating proactive communication among patients, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and hospital staff to ensure seamless communication and resolve concerns in a timely manner.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, interacting with patients, families, staff, and hospital directors to address issues and concerns.
- Problem Resolution: De-escalate patient and family concerns via phone, in writing, and/or in person, and initiate appropriate service recovery methods to resolve concerns.
- Proactive Rounds: Conduct daily rounds on patients during hospital stays and patients scheduled for discharge to ensure their needs are met.
- Resource and Support: Serve as a resource for information concerning patients' rights, responsibilities, and advance directives, and provide emotional support as needed to patients, families, and visitors.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in projects related to improving patient satisfaction and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Social Work or a related field.
- Experience: Prior Patient Representative experience preferred, with 2-3 years of healthcare or customer service-related experience.
- Skills: Excellent communication (both oral and written), organizational, time management skills, strong interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to de-escalate situations, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
Monday-Thursday, 11am-7pm
Compensation$32.555/hr - $34.111/hr
