Medical Surgical Nurse Position in Bangor, Maine

Wellspring Nurse Source is a nurse-owned and operated company that provides travel nursing opportunities. We are seeking a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN) to join our team for a 26-week contract in Bangor, Maine.
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary package based on 12-hour shifts and 48 hours per week. The estimated annual salary is approximately $120,000-$150,000, depending on the specific terms of the contract. In addition to the salary, we provide a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Job Description
The Med-Surg RN will provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, addressing acute and chronic medical conditions. This role requires effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with various medical conditions and post-operative needs.
- Monitor patient status, including vital signs, lab results, and response to treatments.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
