Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Guard to join our team at Vets Hired. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for providing physical security protection of our facilities, regulating and controlling personnel movement, and responding to alarms and emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:- Security Protocols: Familiarize yourself with all normal and emergency Guard Force Procedures, including intrusion detection, video surveillance, and personnel access control systems.
- Facility Knowledge: Learn the physical layout of the facility, including building utilities, sprinkler systems, machinery, and special features.
- Rotating Shifts: Work on a rotating shift, dependent on the particular post and shift, and perform tasks such as visually checking security area access badges, escorting personnel, and responding to alarms.
- Additional Duties: Assist with unloading/loading of supplies, relocate furniture, and perform other tasks as instructed by the Security Manager.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: At least one year of work experience.
- Skills: Ability to use a computer and associated software, communicate effectively in English, and follow instructions.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift packages or materials weighing 10 pounds.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
