Your responsibilities will include providing compassionate support, facilitating personalized assistance, and engaging in skill-building activities that enhance their overall quality of life.

Your Impact: Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with lead educators to implement individualized educational plans (IEPs), ensuring that each student's distinct needs are addressed.
  • Hands-On Assistance: Offer direct support with personal care tasks and effectively manage behavioral challenges, providing steadfast assistance to students during classroom activities to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Positive Interaction: Utilize positive behavior support strategies to develop essential social skills, improve communication abilities, and encourage independence among students.
  • Supportive Environment: Foster a nurturing atmosphere where students feel valued, respected, and empowered to pursue their educational journey.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain thorough records of student progress and ensure open communication with parents, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team, keeping everyone engaged in each student's educational experience.

Your Qualifications: Essential Skills

  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Driver's License: A valid and current driver's license is necessary.
  • Availability: Must be available Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and empathy towards individuals with diverse abilities and backgrounds.
  • Qualities: Reliability, compassion, and patience, along with a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
  • Adaptability: Ability to respond to varying needs, preferences, and communication styles of those we support.
  • Flexibility: Capacity to adjust to changing environments and effectively manage unexpected situations.
