Herbicide Technician

Webber, LLC is seeking a skilled Herbicide Technician to join our team. As a key member of our right-of-way maintenance team, you will be responsible for applying herbicides to roadways, sidewalks, and retention ponds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply herbicides to designated areas using a spray machine with a boom
• Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, including regular checks of oil, gasoline levels, tire pressure, and other essential systems
• Ensure proper oil-to-gas ratio in gas cans and maintain accurate records of gas purchases
• Document all herbicide applications, including areas sprayed and quantities used
• Ensure the safety of people and wildlife in proximity to chemical applications
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain client expectations and ensure seamless workflow
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing proper protective clothing
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record
• Current Department of Agriculture Commercial Applicator's license with Core, Right-of-Way, and Aquatic categories

Work Environment:

As a Herbicide Technician, you will work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation. You must be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds and wear full protective gear during applications.
