Educational Background
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or Sonography Technology program.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of one year of experience in Vascular Sonography, performing non-invasive vascular lab studies. Clinical rotations during formal education may be considered as experience.
Licenses/Certifications
- ARDMS- RVT or CCI(RVS)
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to perform various modalities of peripheral vascular studies, including duplex imaging, Doppler, and plethysmography for upper and lower extremity vasculature, abdominal viscera, carotid vasculature, and/or intracranial vessels. Utilize independent judgment during exams to accurately distinguish between normal and abnormal findings, adhering to IAC approved scanning protocols.
- Willingness to rotate among multiple vascular lab locations as needed. Engage in daily workflow to ensure timely patient care and schedule exams through the transport system when applicable.
- Proficient in operating all vascular lab testing equipment and software, including ultrasound and physiological equipment, EMR, and PACS. Report any equipment issues promptly and maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Active participation in staff meetings and educational conferences, staying informed about changes in the field and contributing to data collection and discussions.
