Avera Queen of Peace is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Unit team. As a critical member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Salary and Benefits

The hourly range for this position is $32.00 - $46.50 per hour. This role offers competitive compensation, extensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth, including student loan repayment assistance. You will also receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus paid out over 24 months, as well as access to a Student Loan Repayment Program that helps you pay off your loans and save money.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Unit at Avera Queen of Peace, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a supportive multidisciplinary team environment. Your primary duties will include assisting in the examination and treatment of patients following established standards and practices as directed by the supervising physician. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices. You should possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Dakota, as well as Basic Life Support, TNCC, and ACLS certification within six months of employment. Previous experience in medical, surgical, or pediatric nursing is preferred, but not required.

Work Schedule and Culture

You will work a variety of shifts, including 6:00am-6:00pm, 11:00am-11:00pm, and 6:00pm-6:00am, with every third weekend and holiday off.
