JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for supporting the Greasemakers in the management of the kettle floor operations.
Key responsibilities include the addition of raw materials to the production process, maintaining cleanliness of kettles and the surrounding area, overseeing the storage and requisition of raw materials, and executing other tasks as directed by the Greasemakers to ensure smooth production flow.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Safety - Promptly report any drips, leaks, or spills that may impact the environment. Adhere to all personal protective equipment protocols. Identify and report any unsafe conditions or actions. Maintain a tidy work environment. Quality - Understand and contribute to the implementation of the quality policy and the ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems. Follow all established procedures and complete necessary documentation with precision.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform any other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending the English language. Capable of performing basic mathematical calculations. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate thoughts, needs, and ideas clearly to colleagues, lab personnel, and supervisors. Self-motivated with the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to initiate and complete assigned tasks with accuracy, efficiency, and safety.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education:
High School diploma/GED or demonstrated capability to perform the job.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Daily guidance from Greasemakers, annual General Safety & Hazard communication training, and various quality training as necessary.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, including equipment such as hoses, fittings, sampling devices, tank covers, and lids. Must be capable of climbing stairs, working in confined spaces, and maintaining good balance and coordination. Ability to read small numbers from meters and gauges is essential.
Must be able to distinguish changes in pitch from pumps and motors. Must be able to wear a respirator and work in extreme temperatures. Willingness to work any shift, including holidays and weekends, as required. Must be able to work overtime with little notice.
