Medical Librarian

We are seeking a Medical Librarian to join our Medical Library team. This role will provide excellent reference services in support of patient care, hospital services, research, and education. The successful candidate will possess a master's degree in library or information science, with a minimum of one year of relevant post-degree work experience. Experience conducting literature searching in health subject areas and demonstrated knowledge of health sciences literature is required.

• Provide knowledge-based information retrieval and reference services to internal and external customers.
• Serve as a resource for assisting clients in completing their own information retrieval.
• Oversee and maintain electronic resources, including preparing and delivering usage reports.
• Provide customized informatics instruction for evidence-based information retrieval as requested.
• Support and literature search services for service line modifications as requested.
• Develop surveys and compile results regarding library services and resources.
• Provide orientations to library resources, equipment, and services as needed.
• Develop and teach educational sessions on topics such as database searching and citation management.

• Master's degree in library or information science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Minimum of one year of relevant post-degree work experience.
• Experience conducting literature searching in health subject areas.
• Demonstrated knowledge of health sciences literature.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
