OU Health is seeking a skilled Floor Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our patient areas and facility floors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, including beds and bathroom fixtures.
  • Collect and dispose of soiled linen, dust and mop floors, and perform high dusting tasks.
  • Vacuum and clean patient care areas, public spaces, and offices as assigned.
  • Ensure safe care to patients by adhering to policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications.
  • Promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including moving furniture, cleaning upholstery, and removing trash.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma preferred.
  • Experience buffing, stripping, finishing, burnishing, and waxing floors is preferred.
  • Command of English strongly preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, and extend for prolonged periods.
  • Requires lifting up to 75 pounds and pushing/pulling a wheeled cart.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to chemicals on a constant basis requiring special clothing or safety equipment.
