Job Summary

The Karate Instructor will be responsible for teaching the fundamentals of martial arts to children, overseeing paperwork, and assisting with program promotion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach martial arts classes to children, focusing on skill development and safety
  • Oversee and manage paperwork, including roll and sign-in sheets
  • Assist with program promotion and marketing efforts
  • Develop and implement engaging martial arts programs for children
  • Work effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive environment
  • Communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals, including children, parents, and staff
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children and staff

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Graduate or GED; College education preferred
  • Strong background and minimum 1 year experience teaching martial arts to children
  • Experience with programming and curriculum planning
  • Ability to work effectively with children and diverse groups of individuals
  • Strong character values, communication skills, and emotional maturity
  • Current EMSA First Aid, Adult, and Child CPR and AED Certifications (ARC, AHA, and ASHI certifications only)
