Culinary Assistant

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Helper Cook. This position is essential in supporting the culinary team in the preparation and cooking of various food items.

Location: School Districts across the region.

Work Schedule: Flexible full-time and part-time shifts available, typically from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Qualifications: Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.

Compensation: Competitive pay ranging from $16.00 to $17.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in estimating food requirements by interpreting menus.
• Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes and production records.
• Learn to manage oven and cooking equipment temperatures effectively.
• Measure and mix ingredients accurately using various kitchen tools.
• Prepare meats, vegetables, and other foods under supervision, ensuring proper seasoning.
• Conduct taste tests to ensure food quality and readiness.
• Portion and serve food, adding garnishes and sauces as directed.
• Handle fruits and vegetables by washing, peeling, and cutting as needed.
• Support in butchering tasks as instructed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas.
• Engage with customers and team members in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Adhere to company standards for service and inventory management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
